The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that it has successfully registered 2.6 million new voters in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise across the country. INEC National Commissioner, Festus Okoye Amupitan, disclosed this while addressing journalists in Abuja. He stated that the commission is committed to ensuring that all eligible Nigerians are registered to exercise their franchise in future elections. The CVR exercise, which allows citizens to register at any time, has been instrumental in expanding the voter base and strengthening Nigeria's democratic process.
