In a bid to formalise his defection circle, Rivers state governor, Siminalayi Fubara has received the membership card of the All Progressives Congress, APC, thereby making him the automatic authentic leader of the party in the state. Completing the process on Friday in Government House, Port Harcourt, the governor was presented with his membership card by party officials in a ceremony attended by key stakeholders. This development comes amidst a brewing political crisis with the State House of Assembly. Governor Fubara's move to APC is seen as a strategic political realignment ahead of the 2027 elections. Political analysts suggest this could reshape the political landscape in Rivers State significantly.
