The Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms, Taiwo Oyedele, has assured Nigerians that no one will touch the money in their bank accounts under the proposed tax reform bills. Oyedele made this clarification while addressing concerns and misconceptions about the tax reform proposals currently before the National Assembly. He emphasized that the reforms are designed to simplify the tax system, reduce the burden on low-income earners, and make Nigeria more competitive for businesses.
